The AGCRA Lone Star Chapter remains busy supporting the Fort Cavazos, Texas area of operations. Provided below is a summary of their latest Chapter events and awardees.
Above - on 20 July 2024, Chapter members conducted their quarterly park clean up at AA Lane Park which is the Chapter's adopted park. The Lone Star Chapter remains dedicated to giving back and supporting its local community.
Above - on 26 July 2024, the Chapter held a General Membership Social at the Phantom Warrior Bowling Alley in an effort to boost the knowledge and bonding of the AG Community at Fort Cavazos.
The Lone Star Chapter understands the significant importance of recognizing Soldiers and Civilians outside the AG Corps who provide significant contributions to the Army's Human Resources mission. To recognize such contributions is the MG Horatio Gates Honorary Medal.
Above - on 19 July 2024, COL Timothy D. Gatlin, outgoing Brigade Commander, 1CD DIVARTY, “Red Team”, was awarded the MG Horatio Gates Honorary Medal by COL Rick Strong, III Corps G1. COL Gatlin's dedication and contributions to the Fort Cavazos AG Community were exemplary in supporting the Army's #1 asset - Soldiers! Supporting COL Strong with the award presentation was CW4 Alexander Pinckney, Lone Star Chapter President.
Above - on 21 June 2024, COL Christopher J. Kirkpatrick, outgoing Brigade Commander, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team (2ABCT), “Black Jack”, was awarded the MG Horatio Gates Honorary Award by COL Rick Strong, III Corps G1. COL Kirkpatrick's dedication and contributions to the Fort Cavazos AG Community were exemplary in supporting Soldiers and the Army's HR mission!
