Welcome to the third digital-only edition of 1775. This Summer 2024 edition is dedicated to the upcoming AG Corps' 250th Anniversary (1775-2025). AGCRA has already started its 250th Anniversary countdown this year with our 250th AG Corps Birthday Newsletter series, and now this edition of 1775.
Our 250th Birthday Newsletter is publishing a series of articles between now and the 250th Birthday celebration of the Adjutant General's Corps at next year's National AG Ball, scheduled for 6 June 2025 in Columbia, SC. Future Newsletter articles will cover the history, culture, and traditions of our great Corps and the supporting endeavors to the Corps by AGCRA. You must be an active AGCRA member to be on the 250th Birthday Newsletter distribution list.
As mentioned above, this 1775 edition kicks off the AGCRA’s year-long commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of the Adjutant General’s Corps. We also continue our “Know your Adjutant General’s Corps Hall of Fame” series, and have added a new book review section.
I am proud to see that members of our Association are taking the time to write and submit articles for publication in 1775 — and we encourage others to do the same. Your professional journal will continue to improve — and we welcome your contributions as we together make 1775 the professional journal for Army Human Resources and Army Bands.
